A 6 km run in conjunction of the 10th birthday of KSN.. met colleagues at office..n liftoff at 7.15a.m...Most of the Slowmovers were there..Javier as usual..the late bird..met sri also..It started at 8.00 am.... ran around the stadium,across hockey stadium..climbing staircase..climb commonwealth hill...n back to stadium. It was more like a cross country run...
The first half was ok, same ole kind of route ... hills, long winding road, the usual. And then came the second half.First - stairs, few steps only, easy one la.. Surprisingly the next one was a brigde, you know the kind where you cross the streets with. Still ok.. After crossing the road, water station with 100 plus... Siap ader yg pegi tandas lagi tue!..Then up the stairs again, but this time more steps and a bit tinggi also. Then run up the hill, this part already tercungap but still can do. I reached this taman where one of the officials waiting for us there to guide, told us "Up the stairs and down the hill, you will reach the stadium. Only one kilometre left". Sounds simple isn't it?? YEAH RIGHT!!!!
This is the best part. Zig zaging up a stair which was about five stories high.. Rasa mcm nak mampus..Mcm nak terkeluar jantung pn ader..Mcm² gaya ada,tunduk or hampir merangkak...Stand-by jek nak kutip klu ader² internal organ yg berterabur,hahaha!!And that is not the end.When he said "down the hill" memang down giler (ader la dlm 70 degree). Kalau tersadung kaki, mau rolling stone sampai bawah. Siap ada sorang runner tu, terlajak, terpaksa pusing balik,hahaha!!...
As we went down, we were getting nearer to the stadium and then to the finishing line. Phew! Not bad for a 6km run. Then seperti biasala, milo, pictures, lepaks, chit-chat², more pictures, milo some more and go home. Finished at 51:16..So next will be Insurance & Takaful Walk 2008..i'm off for balik kg. time.. So, good luck for Slow Movers who join the walk..till then...this is shark..signing off..daa!!
